How I collect, use and protect your information when you use this website and order from The Forest Collection.

Who I am

This website is run by Karen Gourley Artist in Christchurch, New Zealand. It offers a free print from The Forest Collection and paid fine art prints. You can contact me at art@karengourley.com.

What I collect

What you give me: your name, email address and shipping address.

Your order: what you bought and when. Card details go straight to the payment provider, and I never see or store them.

Technical information: device, browser and visit data collected through cookies.

How I use it

I use your information to:

  • Print and post your order

  • Email your digital extras after checkout

  • Take payment and process refunds

  • Reply to your messages

  • Send news about my art, if you ordered or signed up

Marketing emails
If you order or sign up, I add you to my email list and send occasional news about my art. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and clicking it stops marketing emails. I may still email you about an order, such as receipts or delivery updates.

Payments
Payments are processed securely by ThriveCart and its payment providers. They use your payment details only to complete the transaction and to meet their legal obligations.

Cookies and advertising
Essential cookies keep these pages and the checkout working. Analytics and advertising tools, such as the Meta (Facebook) pixel, may be used to see how my ads perform and to show relevant ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may not work as expected.

Who handles your information
I use Systeme.io for these pages, ThriveCart for checkout, Klaviyo for email, and post and courier services to deliver your order. Some of them store data outside New Zealand. I never sell your personal information.

How long I keep it
I keep your information for as long as I need it for orders, accounting and legal requirements, or until you ask me to delete it.

Your rights
Under New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you. Email art@karengourley.com. If you are unhappy with my response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes I will also email the people on my list.
